Short answer Partly
Moonshot EHR produces a cash-basis daily accounting journal as a CSV for QuickBooks Online, with an account mapping the clinic controls, plus a weekly accounts-receivable snapshot, a subscriptions report, refunds and charge exports, and a churn list on the dashboard. It is an export your bookkeeper imports, not a live QuickBooks sync.
How it works in Moonshot
- Map Moonshot categories to your QuickBooks accounts once in Settings; the journal uses that mapping every day.
- Download the journal and the accounts list as CSV for any date range and import into QuickBooks Online.
- The A/R report snapshots every Friday with a roll-forward, and exports as CSV. Click the churn rate on the dashboard to list which memberships cancelled.
Limits, stated plainly
- No live QuickBooks connection, no automatic push, no QuickBooks Desktop format.
- Cash basis only. Accrual bookkeeping is done by your accountant from the same data.
- No insurance A/R, because Moonshot does not bill insurance.

Questions people ask next
Does the journal reconcile to our processor payouts?
The journal records charges, refunds and tenders by day. Payout timing comes from the processor; most bookkeepers reconcile the two in QuickBooks.
Can we see revenue by provider or by service?
Yes, in the analytics dashboard and the charge exports.
Is there a Xero export?
The CSV is generic enough to import into other ledgers, but the account mapping is built around QuickBooks Online.
