Short answer Yes
Moonshot EHR imports Cerbo practices through a staff-run migration that reads Cerbo's API with a read-only user and carries patients, providers, appointment history, encounter notes, questionnaires, documents, problems, allergies, medications, supplements, vitals, labs and consents. Alongside that, every clinic has a self-serve CSV import in Settings for patients, medications, allergies, problems and notes.
How it works in Moonshot
- The migration runs in phases: probe the account, pull, plan, load a slice of three to five charts for sign-off, apply, delta for anything that changed since, and reconcile until there are zero gaps or signed exceptions.
- Imported history is staff-only until released, reminders do not fire on it, and imported medications, allergies and problems show a needs-review badge until a clinician reconciles them.
- The self-serve CSV import takes up to 5,000 rows per batch, returns a skipped-rows file, de-duplicates on email or MRN, and can be undone for 24 hours.
Limits, stated plainly
- Not automatic from Cerbo: memberships and subscriptions, payment history, patient photos, insurance card images and tags. Memberships are rebuilt by staff.
- The API migration is run by Moonshot staff, not a button in Settings. The CSV path is the self-serve option.
- Cerbo must still be accessible with an API user during the migration.

Questions people ask next
How long does a Cerbo migration take?
It depends on chart count and document volume. The sign-off slice comes first so the clinic sees real charts before the full load; the clinic keeps working in Cerbo until cutover.
Will patients get reminders about old appointments?
No. Imported history is marked so that no automation fires on it.
Can we migrate ourselves?
The CSV import in Settings handles patients, medications, allergies, problems and notes without Moonshot's help. Documents, labs and full encounter history need the staff-run API migration.
