Short answer Yes
Every Moonshot EHR clinic has a patient portal, on by default for every chart. Patients sign in with a one-time code, a magic link or a password; book, request, cancel or reschedule appointments; pay bills and manage saved cards and memberships; message the clinic; complete and sign forms; see labs, DEXA reports and medications; request refills; join telehealth; and export their data. Each module can be turned off per clinic.
How it works in Moonshot
- Portal messages land in the same Communications inbox as texts, one row per patient, so staff answer from one screen.
- Billing in the portal covers open invoices, saved cards, membership details, and pause or cancel requests when the clinic allows them.
- Patients can book a Quest draw from the portal home page when Quest scheduling is on, and join telehealth visits from the portal.
- Family and caregiver access is handled with patient relationships and four-way portal access.
Limits, stated plainly
- Portal pause and cancel of a membership are requests to staff, not instant changes.
- There is no native mobile app; the portal is a responsive website that works on a phone.

Questions people ask next
Can patients pay their bill without logging in?
Yes. Pay links sent by text or email open a public checkout. Logging in shows the full history.
Can we turn the portal off for certain patients?
Yes. Portal access is per chart and defaults to on; staff can turn it off for an individual.
Do patients see every lab result automatically?
Release is controlled by the clinic. Imported history from a previous EHR is staff-only until released.
